Start with the room volume and ceiling height. In standard residential spaces, 100–150 cm creates a strong presence without dominating. In open-plan living rooms or large interiors, 160–220 cm becomes the natural statement scale. In double-height spaces, lobbies, and large terraces, 230–300+ cm delivers gallery-level impact and turns the sculpture into a defining feature of the architecture.
Next, think about viewing distance. If people will see the sculpture from close range, the footprint and clearance matter more.
